The other day I was speaking with a close friend of mine. We were discussing the fact that most people simply don’t move enough nowadays! They just sit down in their living rooms, watching television.
I mean one could really argue that most people have less motion than the mannequins you find sitting or standing still in store fronts!
Of course, we had the usual debate that this is a symptom of modern society. We talked about how people are getting fatter and fatter and sicker and sicker. They cannot fit into normal clothing anymore. It’s quite sad actually.
Ultimately, we talked about how this is really the fault of big corporations. It’s the classic case of the trickle down effect. You see, big corporations are responsible for two things that make bad food desirable. 9-5 stressful jobs, and advertising that sells low nutrition food. People have no time to eat properly because they are always on the run or stuck at the desk and when they get home they watch the ads. What a world!
